How I Approach Teaching

Culinary Arts

Four years ago, when I began teaching Culinary Arts, I wanted my lessons to have a long-lasting impact on my students. In order to make the course content really relevant, I needed to design instruction the same way a chef orchestrates a good meal: from appetizer through dessert.

My philosophy is, like that of any accomplished chef, in order to get really good at cooking and baking we have to take risks, experiment and (occasionally) fail. My lessons provide a safe and fun environment where my students are encouraged to excel whether they have experience in the kitchen or are just starting out.
